Cricket and Statistics are like bread and jam, which complements each other if they are in right proportion, but sometimes the jam is too much.
Media and commentators are trying too much to bring out some of the weirdest statistics.
It is common to hear commentators saying
In worldcup cricket 2007
This is the first boundary
This is the first Duck
This is the first Century
This is the first No ball or wide and what not
The statistics ranges for both the extremes
Batsmen with highest no. of century and Batsmen(mostly Bowler) with highest no. of Ducks
Bowler with highest wickets and Bowler(mostly Batsmen) with least wickets
Highest and least partnership between all combination of order of batsmen, Whoo..
Don't be surprised to hear some statistics like
This is the fifth time that fifth wicket falls in the 5th ball of the 5th over
I remember my friend has forwarded to many a mail in which the big coloured text "06/06/06 06:06:06" never comes again pass this on to your friends. Without thinking logically about this he has forwarded it to many guys and I don't know how much of them have forwarded it.
Time once gone is gone and is unique, similarly each ball that is bowled is unique and trying to find a statistics out of it sucks.
I think this is the right time to say this about the Cricket, let us watch cricket as a sport and not to get emotional or try to publicize and get money out of it.

Girls and their Cellphones
Iam sure you would have seen what I have also seen, girls talking in their mobile phones if they find themselves in a solitude state, be it walking, eating, travelling in a bus or cab.
I really don't know how could they talk and listen without bothering about the surrounding cacaphony. The ultimate is the way in which they whisper in the mobile, whether the person at the other end will be able to interpret it? I don't know.
When a girl is alone (this is a rare scenario if at all that girl is good looking) she is too conscious about the surrounding, checking whether others are looking at her or what others might think about her, to distract her from this she pulls out her mobile searches her contact list and makes a call(missed call in case of boys) and starts babbling.
I read sometime back that a girl got hit by an electric train while talking in her mobile and crossing the railway track, so Girls talk in your mobile with care. Happy Talking!

Vallavan - Wasted my weekend
I had the chance of watching Vallavan this weekend, because of the over-hype of the movie before its release and Simbu's first directoral venture I thought that movie will have atleast some kind of entertainment, but it turned out to be a totally gross movie (without even an ending)
I don't understand why Simbu took much time for this movie and I think it could be because of off-screen romance with Nayan Dara. Thenappan(none other than the producer) could have invested the money in Mutual Funds.
The movie starts with a set of jolly going college students (as with all movies in this gang we could find chittapa periyappa), Vallavan is searching for a girl to love and steps into 9, then he finds she is a lecturer in his own college. Then he takes the character 'Pallan' to attract her and puzhinjifies sentimental touch (there is no need for this character at all, simply to have a image transformation Simbu has tried something)
9 has a priniciple that she will not marry a man younger than her so simbu pretends he is elder to her and also has sex with her(with 2 smooches, 1 lip biting too), then 9 comes to know he is younger which leads to their split. (May be 9 is not satisified with Simbu's sexual prowess as he is chinna payan with chinna vishayam)
In this movie too Simbu says 'My Story' (as in Manmadhan) and he has got really confused and gone mad that after interval he introduces to his flashback of his schoolling where he loved Reemasen, who is a psychopath because of which they get seperated and she return back to take the vengence.
In mean time 9 gets prepared to marry with a London guy, Simbu vows her to marry him but 9 is not giving up, atlast SImbu try's out a master strategy, he goes to 9 in Pallan's getup (Ah atlast that getup has a meaning), seeing this 9 gets scared and says I will marry but never ever come back in Pallan's getup.
As a whole a good movie worth for wasting your money.
